그럼 The door opened 는 해석하면 문이 열렸다. 인데요.

위의 문제는 영문법에서 ergative pair라고 불립니다.
즉, 해당동사가 타동사로도 쓰이고 자동사로도 쓰이는 경우를 말합니다.
타동사로 쓴다면 주어가 행위의 주체가 되는 것이 명확한데
이를 자동사로 쓰는 것은
(1) 사물이 스스로 작동할 때(문이 저절로 닫히는 경우)
(2) 누군가 했지만 그 행위자를 표시하는 것이 중요하지 않을 때
(3) 행위자를 밝히고 싶지 않을 때
